Lights in and around your pool? Don’t mind if we do! For the fifth and final installation in our outdoor living blog series, we’re highlighting the final item on our list of outdoor living services: outdoor lighting. After all the time, money, and energy that has gone into constructing your perfect outdoor oasis, you sure as heck want to be able to see it, even after the sun goes down. From pool lighting to landscape lighting and beyond, Rhine Pools is here to shed some light on outdoor living. Before we dive into some options, we want to point out that all of our outdoor lighting systems use low-voltage LED lights, which are awesome for your budget and the environment. Okay, now let’s get started!
Swim Under the Stars
Who says pool hours should end at nightfall? Sure not us! Night swims are always awesome — as long as you can see what’s going on. The purpose of pool lighting is two-fold. With safety in mind, illuminating the pool prevents accidents in the dark as well as allows onlookers to keep an eye on swimmers’ safety. Additionally, however, underwater LED lights glimmering and reflecting through the rippling pool is truly a sight to behold.
Party Through the Night
In the words of Lionel Richie, we’re going to party, karambo, fiesta, forever…all night long. Now that that song is stuck in your head, you’re ready to run your summertime pool parties well past sundown. Rhine Pools can recommend a wide variety of outdoor lighting solutions to illuminate entertaining areas to keep all your get-togethers well lit. Say no to glaring overhead flood lights! Instead opt for:
A mix of built-in step and wall lights
Light trees from the bottom (more on this in a second)
We frequently use 5’ pathway lights along the edge of the pool or a path
Build a pergola with lights built in
If you have gas lines on your property, we can set up a permanent brass or copper gas tiki torch. (We have to say, these are supremely cool!)
Light the Landscape
We can’t forget to shine some light on good ol’ mother nature either. Whether small lights interspersed in a garden, post lamps along a pathway, or larger lights to illuminate a treeline, don’t hesitate to show off your gorgeous greenery. One of our favorite projects, which we touched on above, is to wash your perimeter treeline, fence, or shrubs with light from below, casting a majestic light on your landscaping.
Light Up the Night with Outdoor Lighting from Rhine Pools
At Rhine Pools, we take pride in setting ourselves apart from your typical pool contractor. After seeing the way other pool contractors led their customers through the runaround, Jay Rhine wanted to give the people what they really wanted. Someone who will be with you, start to finish, and leave you with something better than you could have ever imagined. A new pool in Maryland that makes use of landscape architecture brings a lot more value, not just to your pool, but to your outdoor living and your home as a whole.
